Applicationofthermoplasticpolyurethanein3D NewYork-basedVoodoohasintroducedanewthermoplasticpolyurethane(TPU)fiber,NinjaFlex,whichexpandsitsfiberrangebyaddingfullyelasticandsemi-elasticthermoplasticpolyurethanes.Itisreportedthatthematerialisverysuitablefor3Dprinting.Themaincommercialrangeforthismaterialincludesseals,plugs,textiles,hosesandotherfunctionalpartsthatrequireresiliencetoperformwell.Becauseofitshightension,itisnoteasytochangethestrength,wearresistance,andcontactwiththeoilsurfaceisnoteasytodamage,whichisthetraditionaldisadvantageofrubber.Itisalsoeasytorecycleandrelativelyenvironmentallyfriendly,whichisanincreasinglyimportantfactorintoday'sera.
